We understand that circumstances change. This policy balances flexibility for clients with fairness to our priests and operations.

"Before service" means before the scheduled start time of your puja.

3. How to Cancel

To cancel a booking:

  1. Email: contact@srivarada.co.uk
  2. Website: Log in → My Bookings → Cancel

Include: Your booking reference number and reason for cancellation (optional but helpful)

Cancellation is effective when you receive written confirmation from us via email.

Refund Processing

  • Refunds processed to original payment method
  • Processing time: 7-14 business days from cancellation confirmation
  • Bank/card provider may take additional time to reflect the refund

4. Rescheduling

Free Rescheduling: You may reschedule once free of charge if notice is given at least 7 days in advance and the new date is within 3 months.

  • ✓ New date within 3 months of original booking
  • ✓ Priest availability permits

Second or subsequent rescheduling: £25 rescheduling fee applies (subject to availability)

5. Our Cancellations

5.1 Reasons We May Cancel

  • Priest illness or emergency
  • Force majeure (natural disaster, pandemic restrictions, etc.)
  • Venue safety concerns
  • Non-payment of balance
  • Violation of Terms & Conditions

5.2 Our Cancellation Process

If we must cancel:

  1. We will notify you ASAP (phone + email)
  2. Offer alternatives:
    • Reschedule to next available date (no extra charge)
    • Assign alternative priest (if acceptable)
    • Full refund of all payments

100% refund of all amounts paid, processed within 7 business days, no cancellation fees.

Not liable for: Your travel expenses, third-party services, or consequential damages

6. Weather & Outdoor Pujas

For outdoor services and weather concerns:

  • 24-48 hours before: We'll discuss contingencies (move indoors, reschedule, rain backup)
  • Severe weather cancellation: Treated as mutual cancellation (no penalty), rescheduled at no charge, or full refund
  • Minor weather (light rain, cold): Services typically proceed with adjustments

7. No-Show & Late Arrival

7.1 Client No-Show

If you are not available at the scheduled time and location:

  • Grace period: 15 minutes
  • After 15 minutes: Considered a no-show
  • Refund: No refund (priest traveled and prepared)

Emergency exceptions: Contact us ASAP; we work case-by-case for genuine emergencies

7.2 Priest Late Arrival

If our priest is delayed:

  • Up to 45 minutes: No compensation (unavoidable delays)
  • 45-90 minutes: £25 discount or credit

8. Special Circumstances

8.1 Bereavement or Family Emergency

If you experience death in the family, serious illness, or other genuine emergencies:

Contact us with details. We will waive cancellation fees (case-by-case), offer flexible rescheduling, and process refunds compassionately.

8.2 Government Restrictions (Lockdowns, COVID-19)

If government mandates prevent the service: Full refund or rescheduling at no charge. We monitor official guidelines and comply fully.

8.3 Religious Date Changes

If a festival or auspicious date is adjusted by Hindu authorities, we accommodate rescheduling without penalty and provide alternative muhurat options.

9. Festival & Peak Season Policy

During festivals (Diwali, Navratri, etc.) and peak seasons:

Stricter Policy Applies:

  • • Book 60+ days in advance
  • • Cancellations 14+ days: 50% refund
  • • Cancellations <14 days: No refund
  • • Limited rescheduling (only if alternate date in same season)

Reason: High demand; we reject other bookings to accommodate yours.

10. Refund Exceptions

No refund or partial refund in these cases:

  • ✗ Cancellation less than 48 hours before service
  • ✗ No-show without emergency justification
  • ✗ Service interrupted by client
  • ✗ Violation of Terms & Conditions
  • ✗ Booking made under false information
  • ✗ Payment disputes or chargebacks (will be contested)

11. Chargeback Policy

Before initiating a chargeback: Contact us to resolve the issue. We respond to complaints within 7 business days. Most issues can be resolved amicably.

If you initiate a chargeback without contacting us first:

  • We will contest it with evidence
  • Your account may be suspended
  • Future bookings may be denied
